Keiō Converters allow you to connect a gamepad for one console to another. They are designed for and with the assistance of hardcore gamers. In practical terms that means no lag, tested compatibility with popular games and special button mappings designed just for them.

Sega Saturn gamepads are widely considered the best digital controllers ever made. With a Keiō SAT>PSX converter you can use them on your Playstation 1 or Playstation 2, and with an additional converter on Playstation 3, XBOX 360, Dreamcast and many more.

The table below shows available button mappings. The Saturn pad appears to the console to be a standard digital Playstation controller. The "Official" button mapping is the same as the Virtua Fighter High Grade stick.

The "Virtua On" button mapping is for using Sega Saturn Twin Sticks on PS2 and XBOX 360 versions of the game. It is fully compatible with the Twin Sticks!

Autofire mode is designed specifically for shoot-em-up games. On the Saturn pad the bottom buttons (A, B, C, L) are normal fire buttons and the top buttons (X, Y, Z, R) are autofire. This allows you to rest your finger on an autofire button and then roll it back onto the normal fire button for games where holding a button charges up your shots.

For more details you can read the SAT>PSX manual: SAT_to_PSX_Manual.pdf

Using a second converter you can connect a Keiō converter to an XBOX 360, Gamecube or Wii. While most converters will work you can buy one that has been tested for compatibility and zero lag here.

The XBOX 360 converter requires a wired 360 gamepad to be plugged in to it when in use.

Playstation to XBOX 360 converter Discontinued
   > Requires a wired XBOX 360 controller
Playstation to Wii / Gamecube converter Discontinued

If you want to build your own converter you can order individual parts or complete kits. Basic soldering skills are required. You need to attach some wires to a chip, either on some matrix board or by just soldering directly to the legs of the IC socket.
